GSC Game World and bitComposer Games announced the launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat for February, the game coming in a crowded release schedule filled with heavy titles such as BioShock 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction.
The events from Call of Pripyat develop after the end of Shadow of Cernobyl, when the government decides to set an ample operation to get control over the Cernobyl nuclear plant.
The operation starts with the expedition of a military group that has to inspect the area for dangers, but the helicopter crash misteriously and an agent is dispatched to find out what happened. Alexander Degtyaryov is that man and he has to find out both the reasons for the helicopter crashes and the mistery surrounding the area.
The game will come out in English, French, Italian, and Spanish and it will also be one of the first PC games to support DirectX 11.
